Madagascar. Common, widespread species.

Biology

Pollinator: Kradibia saundersi Wiebes.

Non-pollinator: Sycoscapter gibbus Saunders.

Habitat

Occurs in forest under-story and can be locally abundant. Often found along streams, in riverine forest from sea level to 2800 m.
