Distribution

Widespread and common in Madagascar. Also present on the Comoro Islands (Anjouan).

Biology

Pollinator: Ceratosolen stupefactus Wiebes.

Habitat

Woodlands and savannas (PN Isalo) up to an altitude of 1700m. The species is sometimes planted.
