Distribution

Ivory Coast to Uganda and Angola.

Biology

Pollinator: Courtella penicula (Wiebes).

Habitat

Rain forest and gallery forest, up to an altitude of 1500m.

Frugivores

Birds, bats and monkeys feed on the ripe figs facilitating seed dispersal.

Chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes)

Figs of Ficus artocarpoides along with various other fig species comprise the staple diet of Chimpanzee in Kibale National Park (Uganda).
