Catalogue of Afrotropical fig wasps

(Life: Kingdom: Metazoa (animals); Phylum: Arthropoda; Class: Hexapoda; Order: Hymenoptera;  Superfamily: Chalcidoidea)

The catalogue includes species of fig wasp that have been recorded from the Afrotropical Region (defined as Africa south of the Sahara and including Madagascar and surrounding islands). The cited distribution refers to current records for the wasps. In most cases this is only a partial representation of the total distribution, since the distribution of the host fig trees is far more widespread.
