Crossogaster silvestrii Grandi 1916. Holotype in Instituto di Entomologia 'Giudo Grandi', Bologna Type locality: Senegal

Crossogaster atratus Masi 1917 (synonymy by van Noort 1994a).

Combination by Cruaud et al. (2013).

Distribution

 

Distribution_of_Philocaenus_silvestrii

Recorded from Senegal, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, South Africa, Madagascar, Comoros Islands, Seychelles, Aldabra, but likely to occur throughout the range of the host fig (light green area).

Biology

Host fig: Ficus lutea Vahl.
