Distribution

Widespread in Madagascar, but more common in the eastern and northern parts. 

Biology

Pollinator: Ceratosolen longimucro Wiebes.

Non-pollinator: Apocrypta setoptera Ulenberg.

Habitat

On rocks near or in flowing rivers and streams (rheophytic species) from sea level to 1200m altitude.
