Madagascar. Ficus torrentium is the least common of the Madagascan species belonging to the subgenus Sycomorus. Consequently its distribution is poorly known. Although the species is probably widely distributed throughout the country, current records are restricted to central and eastern Madagascar.

Pollinator: unknown.

Habitat

Along streams, from sea level to 1200m altitude.
