Biology
|
Host fig: unknown. The Dominican amber was dated
as Mid-Miocene (15–20 million years ago) and its resin was probably
derived from a single extinct Hymenaea (Papilionaceae) species
(Iturralde-Vinent and MacPhee, 1996). The specimen was acquired from a
commercial source and according to the suppliers was excavated in the La
Bucara amber mines in 2008. The amber piece also included a large leaf/
leaflet, an ant specimen (Formicidae) and another chalcid wasp (Farache
et al., 2017). |
